Colorado firm

Sound familiar?

Six moments when families call us

A new child in the family

Birth or adoption raises the question no one wants to leave open: who would raise them, and with what?

Marriage or divorce

Either one can quietly undo how your assets and old documents actually work.

You moved to Colorado

Documents written for another state should be reviewed against Colorado law.

No plan at all yet

Without one, state law — not you — decides who inherits and who is in charge.

Aging parents

Powers of attorney, guardianship, conservatorship — before a crisis forces the issue.

A loved one passed

Probate has filings and deadlines. You should not have to learn them while grieving.

Not sure where you fit? That's exactly what the free consultation is for — answers first, decisions later.

Every comprehensive estate plan Walters Law prepares includes all six — coordinated, explained, and tailored to your family.

  1. 01

    Will or Trust

The foundation — tailored to your family and your goals.

  2. 02

    Financial Power of Attorney

Someone you trust, able to manage money matters if you cannot.

  3. 03

    Medical Power of Attorney

Someone you trust, able to make care decisions for you.

  4. 04

    HIPAA Release

Lets your people talk to your doctors when it matters.

  5. 05

    Living Will

Your healthcare and end-of-life wishes, in writing.

  6. 06

    Guardianship Directives

Who raises your children if you are not there to.

Flat fee, quoted upfront — no hourly surprises.

Good questions

Asked before almost every consultation

Anything else on your mind? That's what the free consultation is for.

(719) 231-8442
Do you offer a free initial consultation?

Yes. Walters Law offers a free initial consultation so you can ask questions and learn about your options before making any decisions. It's an opportunity to share your situation and goals and find out how we can help — no pressure, no commitment.

What documents are included in a complete estate plan?

A comprehensive plan includes a will or trust tailored to your circumstances, plus financial and medical powers of attorney, a HIPAA release, a living will, and guardianship directives. Everything you need to protect your family is covered in one coordinated plan.

How is pricing structured?

Estate planning is handled on a flat-fee basis, so you know the full cost upfront — no surprises. Document reviews are billed hourly, and if you choose to update your documents with us, the review cost is applied toward the flat fee. Probate and estate administration are billed hourly as well.

What areas do you serve?

Walters Law serves Castle Rock, Douglas County, Greenwood Village, and the greater Denver Metro area. The firm has two office locations — one in Castle Rock on Wilcox Street and one in the Denver Tech Center in Greenwood Village.

When should I update my estate plan?

Any major life change is a good trigger: marriage or divorce, the birth or adoption of a child, the death of a named beneficiary, a move to a new state, or a significant change in your finances or assets. Even without major changes, a periodic review helps ensure your plan still reflects your current wishes.

What are your office hours?

Both offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed Saturday and Sunday. Call (719) 231-8442 to schedule an appointment at the Castle Rock or Greenwood Village location.
